There are mmany feautures of engine dynamometers now adays and because of that we are confused which among them is the best and can lasts for long and can give us the best service we need. And since it is a device for measuring force or power. It can also be used to determine the torque and power required to operate a driven machine like pump. And because of that a motoring or driving dynamometer is used. A dynamometer that is designed to be driven is called an absorption or passive dynamometer. A dynamometer that can either drive or absorb is called a universal or active dynamometer.
And I only trust eddy current dyno for the service of this because I am sure that I am safe for aby single dollar I will spend. And I am confident everytime I drive my car. I can use well my transmission dynos.
